The composition of the jury of the XXIII International Television Competition for Young Musicians "Nutcracker", which will be held in Moscow from 1 December to 7 December, 2022, has become known. It will be traditionally professionals — eminent teachers and musicians — to decide which of the young musicians deserves to be considered the best in their specialty.
Members of the panel of judges this year are:
PIANO:
Arthur Ancelle (France) – The pianist has given concerts in Moscow, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, New York, including in the prestigious halls of Alfred Cortot, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center.
Ludmila Berlinskaya (France-Russia) – “Honoured Artist of Russia”, first prize winner at every international competition she participated in, Ludmila Berlinskaya played on the most prestigious stages in Paris, Amsterdam, London, Venice, Brussels, Madrid, Hong Kong, St. Petersburg and Moscow, where she grew up.
Justus Frantz (Germany) – He is a regular guest conductor in many venues around the globe and works on a regular basis with renowned orchestras, such as the Mariinsky Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris etc. Every year he gives 100 free performances for young people.
Anna Tsybulyova (Russia) – The famous Russian pianist, "the epitome of amazing pianism and intellectual musicality" according to Gramophone Magazine.
Michail Schekhtman (Russia – Israel) – Israeli conductor & pianist Mikhail Shekhtman is one of the most sought-after musicians of his generation. He has been equally successful working in symphonic, operatic and chamber genres and has been awarded with German OPUS-Klassik and Bavarian radio prize.
STRINGS:
Zakhar Bron (Germany – Russia) – People's Artist of the RF, violinist, teacher. Professor at the Cologne University of Music and The Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. The Zakhar Bron Academy operates in Interlaken, where master classes for young violinists are held.
Valeriy Vorona (Russia) – The rector of the GMPI named after M.M. Ippolitova-Ivanova, President of the Russian Performing Arts Public Charitable Foundation, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation, Professor V.I. Vorona is a bright representative of the modern Russian musical community.
Bruno Monsaingeon (France) – Trained as a concert violinist, he is in the last 30 years, devotes larger part of his time to making films about music, while also continuing to give concerts himself.
Kirill Kravtsov ( Germany – Russia) – Kravtsov proved for the first time in world musical history that a quartet of cellists performing academic music can win the hearts of the general public.
Winds & Percussion Instruments:
Denis Lupachev (Russia) – He regularly gives concerts in collaboration with pianist Peter Laul in the Maly hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre. In 2016 he founded the festival "Virtuosos of the Flute"
Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic (Serbia) – Today the virtuoso marimbist and percussionist Zivkovic is also one of the most performed composers of percussion music in the world.
Fedor Shagov (Russia) – Currently he teaches at the Moscow State College of Musical Performance. F. Chopin, the Moscow State Institute of Culture, the Academy of Jazz and the network of educational centers "Yuri Bashmet – to the young talents of Russia".
