This Time, Trump Is Accused of Letting Putin Lead in the Development Race in the Arctic

In his national security address, President Trump declared that America is coming back and it's coming back strong. But in fact, the U.S. is falling behind in the modern Cold War.

Fred Midgette: "The US is an Arctic nation. This is the part of our country".

But Vice Adm. Fred Midgette warns: "The U.S. is being outspent by Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Russia has six new atomic icebreakers".

If you look at what Russia is doing in the Arctic, there's almost an arms buildup going on.

Meanwhile, the 40-year-old Polar Star, the only American atomic icebreaker, is near the end of its life.
