WATCH THE PROCESS: RS-24 Yars ICBM Is Being Loaded Into Launch Silo
The Kozelsk missile division, which is based in the Kaluga region, is upgrading to new weapon systems. RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles were put into a mine to a depth of more than 30 meters.

An armored vehicles column, this road train’s escort group, appears on the road somewhere in the Kaluga Region forests. Under heavy security and in full secrecy, the military transports the RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile. The destination is the Kozelsk Division of Strategic Missile Forces. And here the giant complex with an installer is near the mine. The carrier slowly moves away from the protective casing. And the military start to load the rocket.
Kirill Golubev, Missile Launcher Test Group Commander. "Today, we're rearming the missile division with 21st-century weapons. This product loading process has several stages. The installer is driven up and is set in a horizontal position".
Each movement, each stage, and their sequence are calibrated to the millimeter and brought to automaticity. This is a jeweler's work without exaggeration.
The process of loading the Yars into the mine takes several hours. With the help of this installer, the rocket is put into a vertical position, and then smoothly lowered into the launcher.
The installer, like a transformer, breaks away from the ground and turns into something towering above the surface from a seemingly ordinary trailer. The human eye can hardly notice the movement, it’s better to watch it in the accelerated mode.
The RS-24 is recognized as the most formidable and destructive weapon in the history of mankind. And this isn’t a sword but a shield for our country. In Russian Yars means the nuclear deterrent missile in abbreviation, the true meaning of its name is in that it is launched lightning fast and reaches a speed of 8 kilometers per second in the so-called acceleration section. The rocket doesn’t follow a smooth trajectory, that is, it doesn’t follow a parabola but constantly changes its direction. The probable enemy’s missile defense system doesn’t understand at what point to intercept the missile. At a certain moment, the warhead is divided into several controllable ones, some of which are fake, and the rest can deliver monstrously powerful missiles anywhere in the world at a hypersonic speed in 20 minutes.

The so-called vertical adjustment of Yars goes without problems. The final stage is the loading of the rocket into the mine.
Underground, some additional operations will be carried out with the rocket, they are classified. After that, the next complex will replenish the nuclear triad of the country, having started its combat duty.
