Russian Peace-Keepers: Cease-Fire Impossible as Long as Kiev Bombs Civilians

Today, Russia stopped working at the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of the ceasefire in Donbass. The officers already left the DPR and LPR territory and crossed the demarcation line. The Russian military left because Kiev created insurmountable obstacles for their work. It became clear almost immediately why such obstacles have been created.

Alexander Bilibov is reporting from Donbass, where blood is being shed again.

Two OSCE off-roaders are following a military truck, a bus, and an escort vehicle. This column transports the Russian officers who were part of the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the armistice until today. It’s still the DPR’s territory around the corner, farther, it’s already Ukraine. They hardly left when the Armed Forces of Ukraine started shelling.

A local citizen: "I looked out the window and saw a fireball. I was thrown back by the wave, I hit my head hard against the closet".

This building used to be a machine-building plant dormitory. There are 34 rooms here. Now, 18 of them are inhabited. Today, when a huge shell hit the yard, people were sleeping. You can see that all the window panes and some window frames were knocked out by the blast wave.

The hospital of the village of Golmovsky, the only one for 6,000 people. Yesterday, there were no scratches on the facade, and today, not a single window is intact.

Igor Yatsenko, physician-therapist. "There’s no heating. No light, either. An electric bulb helps somehow, thank God. But I need to heal people".

Villages near the Sea of Azov, Donetsk, and Dokuchaevsky are under the Armed Forces of Ukraine fire. Gorlovka suffered a lot. In the Lugansk Region, Pervomaisk and Stakhanov are still reeling after the night shelling. There are civilian casualties.

The people of Donbass are waiting for night with alarm.

For Kiev, the OSCE representatives are, apparently, not an authoritative deterrent.

Our observers were literally pushed out from the southeast by Ukraine, which created conditions in which they simply couldn’t do their job. Although it was at the request of Kiev in 2014 that the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination was established.
