Another kid from Russia has been luckily rescued from Iraq today. The girl's mother died during the American advance on Mosul. First, 3-year old Sophia Zaynukova flew to Moscow, then the girl was taken to Grozny, where her relatives were waiting for her at the airport.

Artur Mustayev reporting.

The Zaynukovs cannot believe their luck. Sophia was found in an orphan asylum in Iraq. Today, not only the grandparents are meeting her but also her cousins, who were rescued from Iraq previously.

Anvarbek Zaynukov, Sophia's granddad: "It's just unbelievable! My granddaughter has come with the senator. I didn't know it was going to be such a big event. I would have brought all our family here, it's about 100 people".

Little Sophia was taken to Grozny by Ziyad Sabsabi, the man who had already saved many kids from war. On behalf of Ramzan Kadyrov, he manages the workgroup on the return of Russian people from Syria and Iraq.

Ziyad Sabsabi, Federal Council member: "We may consider this the end of the tragic story of The Zaynukovs".

This has been the 9th time when children and women return from Syria and Iraq. In next 3 months, they are planning to return several dozens of people.

The search for the lost hasn't stopped. The group of Kadyrov's representatives keeps working. According to many sources, up to 500 Russian citizens of minor age stay in jailhouses and refugee camps.
