No More Russians Freezing on Runways! Krasnoyarsk Has a Brand New Terminal

What had earlier been considered a mess has turned into a beautiful new terminal in one of Russia's most important airports, located in Krasnoyarsk.
Our special correspondent, Sergey Zyblev, reports from the heart of Russia — Krasnoyarsk.
Construction is still in progress all around, so the first passengers of the new airport in Krasnoyarsk were given helmets. They don't need to fly anywhere today. Their task is to test the work of all the services and to point out mistakes. 500 volunteers were invited to the airport to arrange such an "exam." They were given suitcases and asked to follow the usual route taken by air travelers: check-in, security, and finally, departure.
Four planes are simultaneously processed in the new terminal. There are flights to Norilsk, Baykit, Igarka, and Moscow. At the old airport, this was considered maximum capacity.
The main advantage of the new terminal is all the open space. Also, elevators and escalators make it even more comfortable. Although, volunteers could not evaluate them yet. A few things are still under construction, and the elevators have not been launched yet.
This unusual ceiling symbolizes the wings of an aircraft. A lot of glasswork is used, there's even a full-size model of a satellite, which shows visitors that such space vehicles are built nearby.
A passenger-volunteer: "This terminal is better because there was too little space in the previous one".
Today, every volunteer is an ordinary passenger. Someone needs to hand over oversized luggage or to take along an animal or a plant. Polina was given a task to test the work of the staff that help travelers with young children.
Polina: "I was told that I could either check-in the baby carriage or to take it with me on the plane. Of course, I've chosen the most difficult option. So, I'll be dragging this on the plane with me".
While passengers are passing through security before departure, their suitcases are already going through the baggage handling system. This system is new for Krasnoyarsk.
For the volunteers, everything ended in front of the exit from the jet bridge. Passengers in Krasnoyarsk still need to cross the airfield to get to the plane. In 10 days, when the first flights start to depart from the new airport passengers will not have to freeze anymore.
