The US Air Force along with NATO launched an air strike against Taliban militants in Afghanistan. The operation's command reported that one of the missiles failed to hit the target. It inflicted civilian casualties, which was soon confirmed by Kabul.
Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish: "Unfortunately, 1 woman was killed and 11 civilians were injured in an air strike on houses where the terrorists were retrenched."
Following the incident, an investigation has been launched. Kabul airport was earlier shelled, where the US Secretary of Defense James Mattis and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived. ISIS and Taliban, banned in Russia, have simultaneously claimed to have carried out the assault.
