Salisbury Breakthrough: OPCW’s Director ADMITS to Russian Pranksters That He Has No Proof

The OPCW’s Director-General admitted that the toxin which poisoned Sergei and Yulia Skripal could have been manufactured in any country. He told this to Russian prank callers Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Aleksei Stolyarov (Lexus). Ahmet Uzumcu, the head of the OPCW, thought that the caller was Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Ahmet Uzumcu: "According to our experts, it can be produced in any state. This cannot be excluded. However, Russia claims that their research was conducted on the toxin somewhere, which may be true. But the states which may have conducted such research would have done it for defensive purposes in order to develop some antidotes against the use of this toxin. In such cases, these activities are allowed by the OPCW, and they don't need to be declared. However, if such activities are conducted in order to produce this toxin and harm people in warfare, then they need to be declared, but so far we haven't received such a declaration regarding the toxin's development from any country".
The OPCW director also stressed that Russia seemed to support the OPCW investigation in Syria. He added that the OPCW was strongly criticized after an incident where the OPCW representatives refused going to a site where samples needed to be collected. This time, the OPCW doesn't want to repeat the same mistake.
Ahmet Uzumcu: "In any case, experts from the OPCW are planning to reach the site. Last time, we were criticized for not doing it. This time, we want to do it if safety is ensured. It looks like Russia wants to help our investigation and provide security. They officially notified us of that. We hope that in such situation we will be able to complete our work and complete the mission. Our experts' safety is crucial for us. We can't take such risks".
