"DO NOT CONGRATULATE" - Trump Ignored National Security Advisors When He Called Putin

Organize a summit of Russia and the US as soon as possible, and work out the possibility of meeting the North Korean leader at the highest level. Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will soon give these instructions to their foreign ministers. Putin's Spokesman Dmitry Peskov shared this information today. Although, Trump's administration has no time for summits. The White House is searching for the person who leaked Trump's cheat sheet for the talks with Putin, to the Washington Post. His national security advisers wrote in all-caps: DO NOT CONGRATULATE.
Valentin Bogdanov with the details.
The instructions from the national security advisers went straight into the Oval Office trashcan. Trump structured his conversation with Putin the way he wanted.
The Washington Post writes: "President Trump did not follow specific warnings from his advisers when he congratulated Vladimir Putin on his reelection, including a section in his briefing materials in all-capital letters stating "DO NOT CONGRATULATE".
Trump also didn't mention the poisoned Skripal, despite being told to. According to the CNN, the US President is outraged. He intends to find and punish the mole who leaked the story. After the article was published, Trump was attacked by the usual rhetoric when it comes to Russia.
"An American president does not lead the Free World by congratulating dictators on winning sham elections. And by doing so with Vladimir Putin, President Trump insulted every Russian citizen who was denied the right to vote in a free and fair election".
The Senate Majority Leader, Republican Mitch McConnell, is in a more difficult situation: Despite possible negative consequences he can't help but comment on the situation.
Mitch McConnell, US senator: "The President can call whomever he chooses. When I look at a Russian election, what I see is a lack of credibility in tallying the results. I'm always reminded of the elections they used to have in communist countries. where dictator always got a huge percentage of the vote. So, calling him wouldn't have been high on my list".
This obsolete idea of Russia's political system doesn't allow the US to adequately assess the international situation. Trump touched on current issues when speaking with Putin: Syria, Ukraine, North Korea and of course, Russia's new weapon systems. They also discussed the long-overdue meeting.
Donald Trump, US President: "We had a very good call I suspect we'll probably be meeting in the not too distant future to discuss the arms race, which is getting out of control".
The preparations will be entrusted to Mike Pompeo. The day before, Trump introduced his new Secretary of State, Pompeo, to the Senate. He cannot be called a friend of Russia but given Trump's pragmatic approach the former director of the CIA will have to curb his enthusiasm.
Heather Nauert, State Department: "Whether we like it or not, we have a relationship with the Russian government that is just simply a reality. That does not mean that we agree with them on everything".
The American reality still doesn't like Trump. Porn actress Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, appeared on the TV again. The results of her polygraph check conducted seven years ago by the magazine Life & Style were revealed. The lie detector with a 99 percent probability confirmed Daniels' words about her affair with Trump in 2006.
In order to keep the details concealed Trump's lawyers gave Daniels $130,000. Now, it appears she wasn't the only one. The ex-model of the Playboy magazine Karen McDougall also wants to break her vow of silence about her affair with the billionaire and thus goes to court. She was allegedly offered $20,000 more.
