German Meticulousness Stops Howitzer Convoy, Slows Down American Advance on Moscow

In Germany, the road police have stopped a transport convoy with American howitzers. It left Poland to ship 6 Self-Propelled Howitzers M109 in the destination point by the US Army order.

In Germany, the road police have stopped a transport convoy with American howitzers. It left Poland to ship 6 Self-Propelled Howitzers M109 in the destination point by the US Army order.

But the road police officers detected multiple irregularities. Particularly, the shipping company lacked a number of documents that are necessary for transportation. Besides, the correspondent shipping standards weren't respected, and the drivers of semitrailers with the howitzers didn't even respect the sleep-wake schedule.

 

The convoy was sent to a special station. The freight forwarder and the drivers will have to pay the fines.
