Bombs Away: Putin Exposes Pentagon Plans For N-Warhead in Violation of Intl Treaty

In order to restrain Russia, the US is planning to develop a new nuclear warhead. Britain's the Guardian is reporting that for this purpose, the White House plans to loosen restrictions on the use of nuclear weapons and to build a low-yield warhead for the Trident missile. The publication cites a former high-ranking National Security staff member as its source. Per him, the Pentagon prepared a doctrine. Such a weapon should cause Moscow, Beijing, and Pyongyang to become worried.
Putin's reaction is already known. He raised this issue during a session with the Ministry of Defense. He states that the US is tactfully destroying a special agreement for this matter. And it surely won't contribute to a peaceful world.
Vladimir Putin: "For 2018, the Pentagon has been allocated funds for developing a ground-based mobile missile system with a firing range of up to 5500 km. By doing so, the US is effectively heading towards eliminating the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. They keep searching for violations on our end, meanwhile consistently practicing this.
Just as in the past they've persistently acted to pull out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty. Which, as we know, they ultimately unilaterally proceeded to do. Obviously, all this substantially lowers the level of security in Europe and in the world in general".
