Zhirinovski Makes Important Campaign Visit...to Sample Tasty Snacks From All Around the World

The candidates maintain an active dialog with the electorate. The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia attended Expocentre to visit “Prodexpo” which displayed food and beverages from 63 countries of the world.
Nikolay Sokolov reported what Vladimir Zhirinovsky was up to.
Any of his public appearances usually draws attention. The pavilion with Zhirinovsky is instantly overcrowded. Many people gathered here to see Zhirinovsky and to listen to him.
People stream videos online, try to take selfies with the renowned visitor. Every manufacturer tries to lure him into their booth, though some of them regret it afterwards. Zhirinovsky is not only a demanding politician but also a picky customer.
A shop assistant: "This is a pickled product".
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: "Pickled spicy wings. They will burn you from the inside, your stomach, your food pipe – they will burn out".
He calls for strengthening the control over the food products, reducing the list of allowed food additives and being careful when it comes to the information on packaging.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: "There are chemical additives – flavor enhancer, antioxidant, stabilizer Е 450, acidity regulator Е450. It’s full of chemical additives!"
He pays special attention to fish products — he likes lean fish, most often – domestic fish, not from abroad.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: "The issue is the price – in the beach areas, the fish costs about 6 rubles per kilo, in Moscow stores, the price is 300 rubles per kilo".
Documental fragment: "Тhe Caspian Sea is a unique sea. It is the largest stock of sturgeon fish in the world. Many fish species are not available to Russian people anymore – it is difficult to find them in the stores".
Zhirinovsky recalls how easy it was to buy fish from the Far East in Moscow. He suggested supporting not only manufacturers but fishermen as well.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: "We shall drive tank cars with live fish, which would stop at people’s houses, the driver would open the tank and get you the fish you want with a dip net. Burned-out meat is no good".
Vladimir Zhirinovsky also acted as the cook during the expo. He decided to grill the meat right in the pavilion.
- That’s a good one, what’s that? Pig?
- That’s pork steak.
- Steak! You see, that’s not a Russian word. That’s called "otbivnaya" in Russian.
He did not have enough time to cook the steak – the politician’s agenda is too busy. However, he did not leave empty-handed – he bought dietary milk bologna. He promised to check its contents at dinner with his family.
