This was stated by the head of the SSU at the press-conference in the presence of the "murdered".

Well, one thing: the same SSU had earlier accused Russia of the murder. But probably, this was also a part of the operation. Babchenko himself wasn’t just grinning at the conference, but also stating about his murder, of course.

 

Arkadiy Babchenko, journalist: "The operation had been prepared for two months, I was put into the picture a month ago. During this month I saw how guys work, do their best, during the whole month we were in touch, brainstorming and acting, and in the end the result was this operation. In the result of the operation the person was arrested, he is already in custody, or, I don't know, detained, I won't get into the details now, I'm not very aware myself now. The crime is committed and proved, all the evidence is obvious".
