Development of Next Gen Missiles in Russia Announced - the "Sarmat" Enters Active Testing Phase

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin: We began the development of new-generation missiles. Right now, for instance, the Russian Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with aerospace industry manufacturers, have begun the active phase of testing of a new missile complex carrying a heavy ballistic missile. We named it Sarmat.
This missile complex will replace the Voevoda complex, which was developed in USSR. Everyone has always recognized its combat capacity. Our foreign colleagues, as you know, have even given it a rather threatening name. But Sarmat is even more powerful. It weighs over 200 tons, but its powered flight is short, which makes it more difficult to be hit by a ballistic missile defense system. The new missile has extended coverage range and carries more warheads than the Voevoda. Sarmat will be fitted with a wide range of high-yield nuclear warheads, including hypersonic projectiles, and the most advanced penetration aid systems.
High-performance protection capabilities of the launchers, and large energy capabilities, provide for the implementation of the missile complex in any scenario and situation. Show the video, please.
