The Ukrainian military intentionally escalated the situation at the demarcation line in Donbass in the past 24 hours. This was stated today by the Chairman of the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin at the Minsk talks. To recap, at the initiative of the leaders of the DNR and LNR, the so-called Eater ceasefire has been in force since the 30th of March. But the Ukrainian military renewed the mass bombardment of Donetsk's outskirts.

Andrey Rudenko will tell us about the casualties.

The artillery barrage on Donetsk started at 5:30 am. At least five 120-mm shells were shot at this residential district. The result: all the windows are broken, this car is full of shrapnel, and three civilians got injuries of various degrees of severity. The fire was delivered from the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces situated in the direction of the village of Peski.

The escalation at the demarcation line had already started in the evening. In the morning, the residential areas of Donetsk were already under artillery fire.

A resident: "I heard a noise, and then windows broke, I didn't understand who and from where they were shooting, shells here and there. I went into the hall and stayed there. One more hit, another. Everyone popped out. I heard a boom; one shell hit my window".

A resident: "I was lying in my bed, and then there was an explosion. At least I was lying on my right side; my head was behind a bedside table. Otherwise... All these fragments were in my apartment".

The barrages hit several areas at once: the western outskirts of Donetsk — the Kuibyshev District, and the northwestern part of the capital — the Kirovsky and Petrovsky Districts. More than 12 buildings were damaged, and 6 civilians were wounded.

This escalation shows once more the incapability of the Kiev authorities to stick to the agreements about the ceasefire, which remains in force today.
