Dear women of Russia, I wholeheartedly wish all of you a Happy International Women's Day! We celebrate this holiday at the very beginning of spring, and although the weather in our big country varies, today, a sunny spring mood can be felt everywhere. It was created by smiles, flowers, and sincere feelings. All this is for you, dear women. We are glad that there is such a wonderful occasion that allows us to express our great respect for you and our admiration of your beauty and tenderness. Today, all men give you gifts from the bottom of their hearts, give the warmest holiday wishes to their mothers, grandmothers, wives, daughters, friends, colleagues. Only you, women, are able to create a welcoming atmosphere at work and in the family, take care of the home and children each day, and set a good example for them.

 

We know that a woman's heart is the most faithful, her forgiveness is the strongest, and a mother's love — truly limitless. To raise and educate a child is both a great joy as well as a big responsibility. The work of mothers with many children is all the more valuable, including those who care for adopted children, bringing happiness into their lives.

A woman is the bright, warm image in the destiny of every man, and a lot of works have been devoted to her. We already have a great tradition of reciting poetry in honor of women on March 8. Andrey Dementiev wrote a very touching one.

And their beauty and mind,
Bring even more joy, if there is celebration at home.
And faithfulness, when separation comes to it.
Neither their finery nor Roman profile,
